Thinking, designing and building the same thing multiple times rather than re-using a proven solution takes more time and energy. However sensible this wisdom may be, things aren’t working that way under the typical corporate IT engagement model.
Now, knowing that speed is not a priority for corporate IT teams, it becomes easy to understand how quasi-similar —or boldly identical— technology components are being built and rebuilt at your expense. But there’s more.
